ABOUT COUNSELLING

Counselling provides additional and therapeutic support to those who simply need to talk, and those with ongoing or historical issues. Talking therapy supports your wellbeing and increases the capacity to be able to deal with life's ups and downs. The result is living a far more fulfilling life, better ability to cope with anxiety, depression and other issues that may be impacting your daily life.

Person-centred counselling does not give behavioural advice or homework, but I will focus on your own experiences, supporting the path to positive changes, allowing you to reach your full potential. Often, people find it difficult to connect with their own self-belief, which is where person-centred counselling can be incredibly empowering and help you find your own voice!

This type of therapy is non-directive, allowing you to reach a focus and find your own conclusions during times of stress, uncertainty and get to the root of the difficulties. I provide a safe, comfortable and nurturing environment for you to explore your thoughts and feelings openly, without judgment, while your confidentiality is respected.

Counselling can be short term, where we will work together for 6-10 sessions. Psychotherapy involves working longer-term for those facing ongoing, historical or traumatic issues.

Counselling is a journey of self-discovery, and what comes out of this experience, is unique to you. If you have any further questions, I would be happy to discuss these with you.
